Bug fixes and coding refinements

  • Second boss will continue moving and eating blocks if you play the second level again after defeating it.
  • Second boss and its forks won't destroy the player while spawning.

Design changes

  • Added retro arcade-like filter to Cutscene. Goal is to better convey this isn't an interactive section by making it look different.
  • Passive gameplay data capture implemented for playtesting. (Does not collect any personal information. Contact Gerald if you have questions.)

Known bugs and areas of improvement

  • When editing controls, you can set the same key for multiple controls.
  • Text for the gamepad controls doesn't display properly.
  • Changing gamepad controls can feel a bit clunky.
  • Need ability to separately control music and sound effects  (design and accessibility-related).
  • Allow particle effects to be reduced (accessibility-related).
  • Save custom game controls.
  • Under testing - Is the new Gourmand boss more intuitive to fight against than the old Catcher boss?
